About June
June Caryl (KAH-RIL) Wood Agamah grew up in a tiny village, Buxton-Friendship, located on the East Coast of Demerara, in Guyana, South America. Throughout her sojourn from her village to Barbados, then onto America, she experienced, grief, loneliness, rejection and discrimination. Yet, she was filled with determination. She heard the voice of God clearly and experienced God’s abiding love. She had to learn to be an outlier , in order to be in God’s perfect will.
June was born in Buxton-Friendship, Guyana in South America.
A Heart for Ghana
June is an internationally recognized Public Health Leader, and has coordinated thirty-six mission trips to Ghana and raises annual support to help thousands get access to quality health care. June Co-Chairs the local Community Health Giving Circle in her home town, Springfield, Illinois. Although, June thought that she had accomplished the American Dream, one conversation with her daughter, Aseye, changed her life. June had suppressed her past. She had shelved her desire to write!
